I worked with Jim Howard, an art teacher at CYHS and graphic designer, to develop a logo for PANc. He assigned two student interns - Kyle Rose and Chris Snowadzky - to create the designs. Kyle's design, on the right, was selected to be used on the website and program for the film festival.
To improve the video quality of their projects, I worked with our Process Engineering teacher, Rob Ressel, to create some DIY camera stabilizers. We used Johnny Chung Lee's design for the steadicam. For the dolly, I bought an arm and iPhone tripod attachment and freesourced some roller blade wheels. Rob used some scrap wood to complete the project. The results were
Several groups needed/wanted actors to fill the roles for their film. I contacted Mr. Ben Hodge, the acting teacher, to see if any of his students would be interested in working on the projects. My students sent down several excepts from their screenplays for the students to review. They followed that up with formal casting sessions - in which Mr. Hodge's students did readings for my students. They recorded the sessions to review and ultimately decide whom to cast.
